Mike Kromrey, Executive Director
Mike Kromrey joined the staff in May 2006 as our Education Outreach Coordinator. He has previously worked with the James River Basin Partnership, Missouri Department of Conservation, and Missouri State University while attending MSU. Mike earned a comprehensive biology degree with an emphasis in ecology, evolution, and systematics. Mike completed his masters of science in biology focusing on aquatic ecosystems. While attending school, Mike was also part of several organizations focusing on the environment and experiential education. Mike, wife Mary, and newest addition Eli are Springfield residents, and enjoy spending time in the outdoors (often with a canoe and fishing rod). Mike has grown up in Ozark streams and is enthusiastic about fostering sound watershed principals in the community.

Stacey Armstrong , Projects Manager
Stacey joined the Watershed Committee staff in March 2007. Stacey is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography. She is currently working on completing degree requirements for a Masters of Science in Geospatial Sciences from MSU. Stacey’s background includes environmental work related to GIS, geomorphology, water quality, cartography and planning. Stacey enjoys living in the Ozarks and is dedicated to protecting the environment and water resources in the area.

Kelly Guenther, Business Manager
Kelly joined the Watershed Committee in October of 2006. Kelly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drury University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Communication with a Non-Profit Emphasis degree from Drury University. Kelly is a southwest Missouri native who loves the outdoors and the Ozarks. Kelly and her husband live in Springfield. She has one son and three cats.

Rob Hunt, Watershed Center Coordinator
Rob joined the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks in April 2012 under the newly created title of Watershed Center Coordinator. He has worked as an interpreter and research assistant with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, National Park Service, Missouri State University, Ozarks Technical Community College, The World Bird Sanctuary, and the Discovery Center of Springfield. After graduating from Missouri State University with Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology, Rob studied salamander behavior and predator detection to earn his Master of Science in biology. Completely in love with the Ozarks, Rob enjoys canoeing, biking, hiking, fishing, searching for chanterelles and blackberries, and learning new birds, flowers, and animal tracks. This love for the outdoors naturally flows into passion for conservation and education to keep our Ozark water clean.
