Water Wednesday

New Signs – A New Look

Along with new kiosk signs, twenty-three new interpretive signs are in place throughout the park. The new signs are designed to provide a more user-friendly experience for our guests that is both entertaining and educational. Three themes are featured on the new signs as you take a self-guided tour along the trails. Ozarks Ecology themed signs inform guests about plants and animals found in natural habitats scattered throughout the Ozarks. People and Water signage focuses on how people use our abundant water resources. Watershed at Home signs illustrate best management practices that people use to protect and improve our water quality.

Our thanks goes out to the numerous people who contributed in the design and production of the new signs. We would like to especially recognize Cliff White with the Missouri Department of Conservation for his assistance in locating many of the beautiful photographs used on the signs. We would also like to thank Aaron Scott for his dedication and talent in providing many of the graphic incorporated on the signs as well as the overall design of the signage.

Images of the new signs can be viewed at https://watershedcommittee.org/education/water-quality-int-signs/. Better yet – come out, hike the trails, and check out the new signs!
