Our monthly meeting series has a stellar line up of upcoming programs (7:30 am every first Friday of the month at the Midtown Carnegie Library).  This Friday Holly Neill, who used to head up the James River Basin Partnership, will be presenting about her new organization–the Missouri Stream Team Watershed Alliance.  In August Todd Wagner, who is the principal stormwater engineer for the City, will be presenting about the renewal of Jordan Creek in Downtown Springfield.  And in September, Dr. Robert Pavlowski will be giving us the dirt on coal tar–or levels of PAH’s in our local soils that is.

And the fish?  Well, that is a James River beauty that told me to tell you to come to the meetings and learn about water, because he was sel-fish.  Happy Independence Day, and may it be full of better jokes than that last one.
