I hope you are all excited about spending a couple of hours strolling the beaches of the beautiful Fellows Lake this Thursday. Here are the final details.

8:30am – 9:00 – Check-in at the Fellows Lake Marina parking lot/boat ramp

9:00 – 11:00 – Split up and pick up trash

11:00  – 11:30 – Haul bags to parking lot for pickup

11:30  – 1:00 – hot dog picnic at the pavilion

To get to the lake, use the link to this map or

Travel four miles north of Springfield on Highway 65.

Turn left (west) on Route AA/Hwy C for 0.5 miles.

Then turn right (north) on Farm Road 197, which will take you across the bridge over the lake. The road goes past the first access to the lake (the accessible fishing dock) and then heads west to the main entrance.

Turn left into the marina access (farm road 189), and you will see signs for Fellows Lake. Continue down this road until it ends in a parking lot above the boat ramp. Park here and you will see me flagging you down to come and sign in.

We will not be using boats for this cleanup, just sweeping the shorelines on foot. However, feel free to get out on the water after the cleanup is over, hopefully it will be a nice day! We will provide trash bags, gloves, and lunch. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let me know. If you plan on being there to help PLEASE RSVP so that we can have a count for food. Thanks for your help and I look forward to seeing you Thursday! 417-833-8525 or rob@watershedcommittee.org
