On Tuesday September 21st, more than 30 wastewater installers visited the Onsite Wastewater Training Center at Valley Water Mill Park to receive continuing education credits. The morning started off with a full breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy catered by Waffle House,followed by informative and thoughtful presentations by Karen Elmer andMichael Bowers with Greene County Environmental Department. They provided information about soils, geology, wastewater technology and proper installation and maintenance. The day ended with a tour of a variety of wastewater systems including low pressure pipe, peat moss filters and advanced treatment systems.
