Pervious Concrete at Boyd Elementary

Boyd Elementary Before Big Urbie Improvements

Last week pervious concrete was installed at the Boyd Elementary parking lot as part of the Big Urbie stormwater retrofit improvement project. Pervious concrete pavement is a unique and effective means to help capture stormwater and allow it to seep into the ground.

Pervious concrete can provide a reduction ofstormwater runoff and help to recharge groundwater. A rain barrel and swale with native plants will also be installed as part of this project.
