The Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four weeks, team members experience the host country’s culture and observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.

Stacey had the wonderful opportunity to be a member of the District 6080 GSE team that traveled to District 3132 in west central India.  The team visited the state of Maharashtra during the month of January and the GSE India team plans to visit Missouri in September 2015.  She states:  “I was fortunate to stay in homes and travel with Rotarian hosts to various sites around the host district learning about drinking water, water resources, health care, agricultural crops, education and local industry.  I participated in vocational visits, rotary club 20150127_1250362presentations, attended the Rotary 3132 District Conference and participated in formal, social and cultural programs.”
