Watershed Winter Wonderland
Water Wednesday ‘Watershed Winter Wonderland’
Winter is a great time to visit Valley Water Mill Park and enjoy nature. Despite the colder temperatures, the wildlife is out and about just waiting for you to discover them. Every day a Watershed staff member has fantastic nature moment. Over the last few weeks, both mature and immature bald eagles have been regularly spotted as they cruise the lake looking for a meal. Muskrat are regularly seen in the relatively warm waters of Sanders’ Spring.
A tremendous variety of waterfowl visit the lake as most other bodies of water freeze solid. So put on some warm layers of clothing and come out to experience your own nature moments at the Park. Please stop by the Watershed Center while you are here and share your experiences with us.
