We had a total of 26 individuals come out and assist with planting trees along the South Dry Sac and one of its tributaries. The group planted approximately 900 seedlings in 2.5 hours. This effort was an extension of last year’s riparian corridor establishment along South Dry Sac. This year we were only able to tackle 3 acres, but being that it was at the confluence of the Little Sac River-a critical location for future stability. Between the 2010 and 2011 efforts, we have now enhanced almost 27 acres of riparian corridor along the South Dry Sac.
