For the second year, Empower: Abilities hosted a day of free fun on the water for people with disabilities.
Over 200 people registered for this great day of floating, fishing, and more!Â
The Day at the Lake was full of smiles! A mix of new adventurers and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts came together to enjoy up a beautiful day on the water.Â

Volunteers from Empower: Abilities, Missouri State’s Occupational Therapy Masters program, Ozarks Audubon, Southwest Kids in Action, Ebenezer’s Fire Department, and more made it all possible. Thanks to all who made it out to join in on the fun!
We held a ribbon cutting mid-day to commemorate the installation of the new EZ Dock at Fellows Lake. The addition of this tool was made possible by the support of the Hatch Foundation and Mr. Eric Peterson. This important improvement will help ensure we can provide access to the great outdoors for people of all abilities, as it allows safe, independent transfer onto the lake.
