Watershed Natives Partner's Day 2023
Involving Our Partners
We held our fourth annual Watershed Natives Partner’s Day on December 5th, 2023. This tradition allows us to show our partners how they shape student’s learning! Juniors in the Hillcrest High School Watershed Science class are learning how to grow plants from seed stratification to harvest. Partners got their hands dirty to help students prepare soil, plant seeds, and record scientific data. Their plants will be used to prepare seeds for the Springfield-Greene County Library’s Heirloom Seed Library.
Folks from the Missouri Department of Conservation, Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, and Springfield Public Schools joined to witness the impact their efforts have made possible.
